LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
highI bought this car in 2024 and after 3,000 miles it was unrepairable. The first incident, I was driving and the car started flashing and beeping, telling me to pull over and exit the vehicle immediately. I brought it to the dealership and after a few days they returned it and said it was a software update. The next day, while driving to work, the vehicle again started flashing lights and beeping and told me to Pull Over and Exit the Vehicle immediately. The vehicle continued to flash and beep until I could pull over and stop, which unfortunately I was on the freeway, in between barriers and had to drive 17 more miles with it in panic mode. Almost 4 months later, I got the vehicle back and again, after driving a short time, I experienced a TOTAL electrical failure. The brakes, power steering, hill descent, etc ALL stopped working! After being in the shop a little over a month, again, I was told it was a software update and sent on my way. That night, while driving home, the Auto Brake Hold ENGAGED while I was driving and my vehicle jerked back and forth continually. Again it went to the dealership, and again I was told it was due to a software update and that is now how Land Rover had programmed it and I just was not used to it. When I tried to explain how I could not drive because of the continuous jerking, I was told there was nothing they can do.
LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT 2024 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
highVehichle completely shut off while driving in middle of road. All power was cut to vehicle, luckily I had foot on the break at the time at a stop light. Was dead in the intersection, required a tow to dealership. The dealer confirmed it was a DC/DC electrical failure that had my mild hybrid engine not working. Basically communication with the gas engine stopped and vehicle died after draining the battery.
LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT 2024 UNKNOWN OR OTHER
high9/23/2025 After multiple trips to the dealership, the issues with my vehicle continue to persist. Here is the breakdown of my current issues with my vehicle: 1. Brakepad warning light (was informed that it is not covered under warranty even though I only have less than 13K miles) 2. After two attempts to fix the window seal issue, the issue still persists 3. The navigation screen on my driver console doesnât display when in CarPlay mode 4. The backseat center console doesnât close properly, so the dealership ordered the part almost two months ago, and it still has not arrived. 10/7/2025 (update) I wanted to inform you that I was quoted $3,347.01 for rear brake pads and rotors for my vehicle, which has less than 13,500 miles. Iâm quite shocked because I was told that this isnât covered under warranty and that Iâm responsible for the cost. Iâve owned or leased at least five Range Rover sports in the past, and Iâve never experienced such rapid wear and tear. Additionally, the dealership acknowledged the window sealing issue for the third time and informed me that itâs now resolved after making some âadjustments.â However, Iâm still puzzled because they didnât order any replacement parts, and this is the third time Iâve taken my car in for the same issue.
LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT 2024 AIR BAGS
highThe vehicle has multiple safety and operational defects that remain unresolved after four service visits on April 10, May 28, June 19, and August 2, 2024, totaling more than 30 days out of service. Lane Keep Assist malfunctions unpredictably at highway speedsâat times making abrupt steering inputs without warning or failing to intervene during lane departureâcreating a safety hazard. The vehicle has excessive wind noise, suggesting door or glass seal issues. The infotainment system intermittently crashes, freezing or disabling functions including the backup camera and Bluetooth phone audio. Dealer diagnostic scans showed 15 ECU modules not communicating and multiple diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) across systems, indicating systemic electronic faults. Despite software updates and repair attempts, the problems persist and continue to impair the vehicleâs safety, reliability, and normal operation.
LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT 2024 ENGINE
criticalOn 27 July 2025, my 2024 Range Rover Sport, suffered a sudden and catastrophic engine fire while driving shortly after an overheating warning appeared. This occurred approximately two weeks after routine maintenance at a Land Rover dealership. My VIN is not listed in the current recall range, but the defect, symptoms, and safety hazard are identical to vehicles included. This strongly suggests either: 1. Incomplete VIN capture in the recall scope, or 2. A related but unaddressed defect with the same catastrophic consequences. The fire completely disabled the vehicle, placed my safety at extreme risk, and caused total loss. Given the life-threatening nature of this defect, I request NHTSA investigate to: * Expand Recall N908 to include my VIN and any similarly affected units, and * Require Land Rover to remedy and compensate impacted owners.
